Jen is a native of Madison. She first felt a call to ministry while working for the Crossing Campus Ministries on the campus of the UW-Madison. At the Crossing, she encountered a Jesus who teaches a message of radical love and social justice. She attended seminary at Boston University and was ordained in 2019 in the United Church of Christ.

Jen also has a background in food-based advocacy and sustainable farming, and she enjoys combining her love of food with her passion for ministry.  Jen lives in Madison with her husband, where they care for four chickens and a large backyard garden.
