Spread the Good: Stewardship 2025

Jesus said, "Peace be with you. As God sent me, so am I sending you." John 20:21

In the fall stewardship season, we have often been asked to think about all that the MCC does for us as individuals and how we can contribute to the efforts of the MCC. This is a consideration for 2026 as well. This year, however, we are also asking you to remember how much the presence of the MCC contributes to Spreading the Good beyond our church community, and how what you receive from church empowers the rest of your life—in family, in work, and the broader world.

In so many areas—like social justice, the environment, immigrants’ rights, women’s rights and civil rights of all kinds, education—MCC members use the inspiration of Jesus’ ministry of love and peace to give us the clarity of vision and strength of purpose we need to go into the world and keep Spreading the Good. And this is more than just social action! Our Christian faith, which the MCC nurtures, leads us to interactions with family, friends and even strangers, guided by love, charity, and compassion.

This fall’s adult education series is one way we are highlighting congregation members engaged in meaningful causes and pastimes, which serve as Tools for Resilience, reflecting the diverse and inspiring ways in which we can contribute to Spreading the Good.

So with adult ed, in worship and temple talks, in conversations and in prayerful reflection this season, we invite you to remember your time, talents, and financial support that sustain the MCC as a vibrant beacon of hope in a world of constant change. Together, we will continue building a more compassionate and hopeful future for ourselves, our neighbors and all of creation. We are deeply grateful for all you do to help.

Below are links to web forms that invite you to renew your membership at the MCC, make a financial pledge, and update your time and talent offerings to volunteer within the congregation. We ask that you have these forms completed by Sunday, November 9. Hard copies of the forms are available in the Shalom Room or contact the office to have it mailed.

Again, what you contribute to the MCC is only such a small part of how God is active through your life. But in sharing these things together, we enable more opportunity for the Holy Spirit through the MCC to be Spreading the Good.
